The Grasslands habitat is home to one of the world's last great megafauna - the magnificent super tusker. What makes the supertusker so enchanting? At double the size of a normal elephant, being in his presence makes you feel that you truly are in the presence of greatness as his majesty puts the world into a renewed perspective. With his size, comes a gentle confidence that makes him one of the more gentle elephants in the ecosystem, he plays an important role in training younger, more aggressive bull elephants into civility. With an estimated 50 super tuskers left in this magnificent biome, we do not publish his photographs but rather share pictures of his companions in this biome. Our photographs disclose the location of each shot and for this reason, we consider it inappropriate to publish images where supertuskers are found as it may increase poaching risk. The charitable donations from this biome are applied to supporting supertusker conservation.
